VOD programmes ending prematurely

Is it just me or do some VOD programmes finish before they are meant to. A programme will play for a period of time and then stop. This happens at the same point in the programme each time it is played.

Examples of this are Teachers Series 3 episodes 2, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10. I have also seen this happen with other programmes before now.

I'd expect it's how C4 have recorded the epsiodes, maybe the original aired versions had promos over the end bits, and they cut them out for VOD.
Something out of Virginmedias control unfortunately I'd imagine

Re: VOD programmes ending prematurely

I'm not talking about editing. A programme may only last a couple of minutes before stopping.

If the VOD asset stored on the VOD servers is incomplete then you wouldn't see the complete asset. It may only be an issue in Northampton. Anyone else affected with the episodes mentioned above, in an area other than Northampton?

We are somewhere in Hertfordshire. This happens to us also, recordings normally ok but one recording can be cut after say 30 minutes with a message that the recording has ended view again etc. So that the V+ box is ending recordings earlier than it should. This is very annoying.

Re: VOD programmes ending prematurely

I have the same problem with movies. I don't watch movies on demand anymore as it is a real pain having to phone in to get a credit on your account everytime a movie stops after 20 mins or so. Even more frustrating when it ends 10 mins before the end.
