What's happened to the TV service?

Looking at the service status page there seems to be a lot of areas affected by loss of TV/broadband.

It also appears to be off in SK6 (Stockport) area but not showing on the status page.

We had a loss of everything on Thursday night... TV, BB and Phone. Next morning I noticed there were 4 VM vans parked by the main green box for my area doin all sorts of work - they had empty boxes everywhere, so it must've been a big problem. Looked on status page, nothing mentioned for anything in my area (OL10)... bizarre!

I think they must just be upgrading things nationally as the status page did mention a lot of other areas though!
