3 for £30 bundle
Hi,
I have been a Virgin Media/NTL customer for 2-3 years. I have the Broadband(M) and Phone(M) services, I get the TV(M) free because of the phone. So that's £29.50 in total excluding all the Add-on channels.
I just saw on the VM website about the 3 for £30 bundle where you get TV(L), Phone(M) and Broadband(M) for £30? I was just wondering if there is a catch anywhere because I pay about the same amount and I only get the TV(M) instead of the TV(L)? Should I call them and ask them to upgrade the TV or is there a catch anywhere - like a pay £30 for one year and £40 from then on?

Re: 3 for £30 bundle
The main catch is that officially you have to take a new service to get a bundle - whether upgrading M -> L is considered a new service, I'm not sure.

Re: 3 for £30 bundle
Further to that, the 3 for £30 bundle is available to existing customers, but it does mean you enter into a new 12 months contract.

Best give them a call.

Re: 3 for £30 bundle
No catches.I switched to this and the only part that isn't explicit is that services like itemised phone bill etc are still charged on top of the phone bill part of the deal.Basically you get TV(L) instead of TV(M) so you have nothing to lose.

We are on the 3 for 30 package and the only catch is that after 12 months you have to pay £39 instead of £30

Only if you are currently getting XL TV which was offered with a previous 3 for £30 deal. Anyone taking it out now only gets L TV.

Re: 3 for £30 bundle
Alternatively, you could switch to the 2 for £20 bundle of phone (M) and Broadband (M) and get TV (M) free, if you did not want the extra channels.

Can you show me where it states that the cost goes up to £39 after 12 months as the only thing I can find is that you must take the bundle for at least 12 months?
So as long as you don't change anything I assume that the £30 charge continues.

As Ernie_C said, that was only for the special offer that gave people TV: XL for 12 months for free (hence the price increasing after 12 months to £39).

Re: 3 for £30 bundle
When I signed up, I got an even lower bundle, 3 for £20 (M TV, M Internet, M Phone), after asking very nicely, I got it changed to 3 for £30 as per a special offer than wasn't offered to me (XL TV, M Phone and Internet), but with internet as Size L as I wanted it a bit quicker, so I now pay £37pm, good stuff.
I would ring them up and explain the situation, I'm sure the customer service team can help
