Re: Virgin 1 get 40m
It says that Virgin One will have the entire Star Trek franchise. That's one (albeit it small) reason for watching Sky blocked.

Re: Virgin 1 get 40m
Certainly does look promising! All we need now is Lost, Battlestar Galactica and the Stargate series's and they'll have kicked the greedy old dish flasher (Sky) in to touch.
What's those sayings again! "revenge is a dish best served cold" and "don't get mad get even".
Lets hope it's a success.
Si thee.

Re: Virgin 1 get 40m
errrrr.....well I'd like to be partisan but if it ends up being another version of Sky One with the same poor programming...No thanks!

I feel that as the channel looks to be a great success, Sky will want to carry it and therefore it becomes a bargaining tool for VM. However, losing Sky was no biggy, theonly thing I really miss is Sky news!

Other plans for Virgin 1 include an ad-funded website which will offer streaming and downloads, and a social networking area.

That sounds like good news to me, as a science fiction fan. If that is the case, I'll certainly be happy. I do hope they show Star Trek DS9 though, it was something Sky showed once and then neglected. In my opinion it was one of the best series.
