Sound And Picture Not In Synch

I know this is quite a trivial problem, but has anyone else got a problem with their sound being out of synch with their picture? I've had this problem for a long time now and I've never bothered getting an engineer round as the problem seems to come and go and it's not a big lag, although perhaps I've just got used to it now as it's usually other people that seem to point it out to me now

Hi Lyn

It does happen from time to time, usually an STB reboot solves the problem in the short term, I would raise it with VM though.

Rebooting your STB at least once a day helps (mostly) to keep the various glitches in VM's DTV system at bay.
I know you shouldn't have to and I know the whole thing is really not fit for the purpose but that's the way it seems to be I'm afraid...........

I know how you feel - bbc 2 seems the worst of the bunch. Virgin media unhelpful - if you search this site you will find it is a common problem. Good luck!

Re: Sound And Picture Not In Synch

Whenever I have a channel picture that is out of sync with the sound, I can usually fix it just by changing channels and then going back to the original channel. Thankfully it doesn't happen too often.

Same here. Thankfully, it's rare here in SE London.

Hi

I had VM installed last week and the problem has been ongoing since the installation. It is particularly bad on BBC2. I have a Samsung SMT 2110C.

I get the same problem on Sky (rarely though) and this is what works for me too
