Re: TV aeriel etc

You only need to ask once mate You can have multiroom which gives you the same package you have normally on a second stb and it isnt expensive.
what other services do you subscribe to ? As for the standard 1 to 5 there is a way but your not meant to

Re: TV aeriel etc

well what packages do you have now? whats your monthly cost? do you have v+.
I think if you dont have V+ and want it they should install your existing stb in another room free (but dont quote me on that)

Re: TV aeriel etc

what about phone? the VIP package is attractive if you already have all 3 services

This gives you xl internet
xl tv with movies and sports v+ box and second stb
xl phone
for 85 quid per month

Take into consideration 37.99 internet xl tv + 21 ? so thats 58 second stb will = at least 10 so thats 68 quid even if you just have basic phone your nearing 80 quid. So you can upgrade to V+ with movies and sports and have all in phone for 7 quid

Re: TV aeriel etc

The feed of the unscrambled terrestrial TV channels 1-5 is due to be disabled. It's there as a legacy thing from the old analogue TV over cable services. New digital installations aren't having this functionality installed.

If you need to distribute TV to 5 different rooms, if you must have cable, then it sould cost a lot with separate STBs in each room Alternatively you could feed the RF (ao-axial) output from one STB into an amplifier and splitter which from there sends the signal to the various rooms. Only problem is every room can only see the samse single channel being output from that one room.

I'd suggest going back to a rooftop aerial if you only need channels 1-5 in other rooms. If you add the roof top aerial signal into the output feed from the STB RF as outlined above, using a combiner, you start getting the best of both worlds.

An alternative might be to consider freeview for your less important rooms.
