Question Removing a TV package

I phoned up yesterday to remove the Sky Movie package and they said that it would be removed within a couple of hours.

The movie channels are still there.

I phoned up again and the agent said that even though I can still watch them, I will not be billed for it.

Now, previously when I have had stuff removed, it has been within an hour.

What the agent said, does anyone know if this is true or will I still be billed for it? I just cannot see them letting me watch the channels free of charge.

Re: Removing a TV package

I cancelled the Sky Movies package, recently, initially by calling customer service & choosing the 'change package' option - very efficient person took all the details & told me it would be actioned within 24 hrs. Anyway when it didn't happen I wasn't too worried - until the next bill, when we were still being charged

So this time when I phoned I chose the 'billing' option, again the person who answered was very efficient and the notes about my previous call were there on the system. So, he said they would refund the subscription we had been overcharged and would email someone at second level ( I think that is what he said)??? to effect the cancellation. Anyway, long story short, 24 hours later we had no movies - and we did get the refund.

- from which I am guessing that it was something to do with the lack of integration in the billing systems currently used by VM that was the problem, good luck with yours, Mal

Re: Removing a TV package

I went through the change package option as well, Gaz. I'll have to give it till tomorrow now, as it is now 26hrs and they are still there.

Thanks Gaz

hmm - you may note by reading between the lines, in my recent post, that we effectively got a month of sky movies for free - the sad thing is, the reason we cancelled was that we weren't watching any of the films, so it didn't really matter

That's my reason for cancelling as well.

I am a flicker, so now that I have to put a PIN in, I tend to carry on past the Sky Movie channels.

Re: Removing a TV package

I cancelled my sky movies and sport a couple of weeks ago, re the pin problem and the fact that I rarely find anything of interest to watch on them.
I recently had a bill and surprise, surprise there were no charges for sky movies or sky sport in spite of them still being available to me as subscribed channels.
I just knew something would go wrong.
