SMT-2110C - distrinbuting the signal
Hi
As a long term ntl/virgin cable customer I changed to their cable digital service and have the Smasung SMT-2110C box. No probs so far!!!!!!!!! Now in good old analogue days the signal came into my box and then I took an output and sent the signal (via an aerial amp) to other rooms. I now I have nothing (apart from a few angry teenagerss). No matter which route I adopt I cannot get a signal to the other sets.
My cunning plan to take the scart output into my vcr and then use the vcr output as my source into my amp. No joy. So please help - I need an inexpensive slution to feeding a signal to other rooms in the house, ideally with the digital channels but would be happy to get good old teristrial tv on other set! Being a new area don't have aerials.
Any cheap solutions will be gratefully received.
Cheers

an av sender might be ideal. i have a tristar one from argos only cost me about £30 and you can change the box channel even when you are in another room.

Re: SMT-2110C - distrinbuting the signal
this has hapened because you can only have one digi box per tv only .
a digi sender will only work on one other telly

Distribution to other TV's in the house works fine with my PACE 4010, can't speak for Samsung STB.

Re: SMT-2110C - distrinbuting the signal
I had one working with the same box a while back, so should be no problems there. Have a look at the different models aswell, I'm pretty sure you can buy additional recievers for some so you could send the signal to more than one room.

yes this does work with a samsung box 'cause i have one and the transmitter plugs into the STB and the reciever plugs into the tv that you want to send the signal to. it is all in the manual
NOTE: the IR sender sticks to the front of the box

Does this Tristar sender work with a Virgin V+ box?? I have tried a One for All sender from Argos for £90 but did not work with remote, and a cheap one from Maplin and again remote did not work. I am desperatley trying to share the TV signal to another room without getting another STB. I have got a wire connected to the aerial out point at the back of the V+ box and works with the TV upstairs, but then would need a transmitter to send the remote signal! HELP!!!
