ITV 2 and 3 NO Audio
Hi has anyone seen this fault ? .It is affecting some Samsung Boxes and Phase 3 pace 4010 .Some people have no sound on ITV 2 and 3 when the audio description is on .Turn it off and your sound comes back .I have seen 3 faults today like this .They are aware of the problem anyone sen this or have got it

not seen this 1 yet ned,have you checked the pop-up?

We were told by the headend engineer to look out for it

just turned 'audio description on' and checked, its fine here for the moment in baguley/wythenshaw 2100c Ned...

4010 (same as 4000 on Bromley) boxes were the only Pace boxes to use the Conexant chipset. Possibly what Samsungs also used. All other Pace boxes used a C Cube chipset.
Confused why a simple channel change wouldn't fix it tho? Buffers would be flushed and tables would be updated with a channel change. Do you know the cause Ned?

No we have reported it to the dmc who are aware of the problem .Seems strange it only does it on Itv 2 and 3

Does the AD come back on if you turn it back on?
ITV2 and 3 don't even come from the same satellite transponder source.

I have left my number with the customers to see if ad comes on after i turned it off .1 4010 and 2 2110 two of the customers said it was only doing it on ITV 3 last night but when i turned up today ITV 2 was doing it .On all 3 job ad was on and the customer didnt know how to turn it on they ust said it was very annoying on the channels that have ad and they didnt kow how to turn it off very strange
