Any info on plans for non-cable areas?

Hi,

Just joined and hoped that someone might have a way of finding out a question I have.

Is there anywhere that shows proposed cable-laying work. I remember 10 or so years ago every street seemed to be dug up and laid. But I've moved to an area that missed the boat.

Or has the great rush to lay cable passed and gone for good?

I live in a so-called "village" of about 2-3,000 people about 2 miles from a town (pop. approx. 60,000) so I would have thought we would get it.

Any ideas/info would be greatly appreciated.

Jon

sorry to dissapoint you jon but from the day NTL took over they said there were no more proposed digs, true to their word they didnt spend a penny extending the network to other areas.VM seem to be following suit, although you can now get the 4 for £40 'off-net' offer, the TV side of things being delivered via a VM freeview type box that you plug into your aerial.check out virginmedia.com and look for the 'off-net' offers, good luck and welcome to the forum.
