Strange STB Behaviour While Switched Off...

I had a Samsung STB fitted last week and it is connected to the TV via a scart cable to AV2. My problem is that the following things happen while the STB is off in standby.

When I switch the TV on for the first time each day, instead of coming on at the last channel I was watching like normal, it comes on with a blank screen showing that AV2 is selected.

Also, every now and again whilst watching a programme the TV switches itself over to AV2.

I can only assume that this is something to do with the STB outputting a signal through the scart cable whilst it is off in standby.

Any thoughts on why this might be happening and what can be done to stop it happening.

Many thanks.

be careful though, pin 8 isnt always a red wire.look down on to the pins, they are numbered, then cut the related cable to No 8.good luck.

Re: Strange STB Behaviour While Switched Off...

I think in the settings you can disable that feature anyway, which might help.

Re: Strange STB Behaviour While Switched Off...

Thanks for your reply's.

I don't realy want to disable auto switching in the settings as it's quite handy that it changes to AV2 when it is supposed to. Still, if there is no other soloution then I may have to.

What does pin 8 do ?
