Re: new to virgin...a few questions

Teletext is an analogue service, I don't think the digital equivalent it's available on VM - the BBC's interactive services are just as good, if not better (just press red whilst viewing any BBC channel).

Parental controls are in settings, I'm at uni so perhaps someone else can give you exact instructions. But certain items cannot be un-pinned; primarily some On Demand programs if you watch them before 9 o'clock, and Sky Movies channels.

Re: new to virgin...a few questions

The equivalent to Skytext can be accessed either by pressing the red button on a BBC channel, or pressing the 'Interactive' button at anytime.
It's much slower than traditional teletext, but that's progress
It you had an RF bypass fitted (coax output from STB) and it's plugged into you TV aerial input, you can still get teletext from the terrestrial channels.

I haven't got Sky movies but I would imagine that is a bit irratating. I think I read that this will change when everybody is on the new software in June. Somebody correct me if I am wrong please.

I believe that even with the update (once everyone is on the new software) it will still be necessary to input your pin pre-watershed but not post (I think Sky's system is similar).
