V+ box has random reboots

Since the last epg upgrade my V+ box seems to freeze more. It would seem to be worse if after watching a chennel for more than 45 mins, you then try to change channel or use menu features.

In the lworst case it reboots and has done this several times in last week whilst recording on 2 channels at the same time.

Anyone any ideas what this might be ?

I have had the same problem. It is even worse when one of the recordings is HD. I can only think the V+ box is not fast enough so it just cops out. Maybe an iffy hard drive.

Is this possible to do with a V+ box? I would agree it might solve the problem as box worked fine when it first came.

A defrag might also make it work faster. I would have thought they would have thought of that and it would be an automatic process.

1) Press the Home button.
2) Press and hold the Play/Pause button until the display says E-00.
3) Press the V+ or TVDrive button. The display will say E-01.
4) Press the ch- button 4 times. The display will say 'hdd4'.
5) The V+ will then begin the reformat, and the display will say 'rft'. This may take up to 5 minutes. Afterwards the V+ will reboot normally

Try it
