On Demand

Seems that On Demand Selections only avail the viewer of previous seven day's progs. Previously it was possible to watch progs from an entire series. At the moment it is not even possible to watch last week's Doctor Who.
Any idea what is going on? 1st no Sky and now a serious reduction in On Demand progs

Yes, this vexxed me. I went in specifically to watch Doctor Who but no sign of it. The selection is much poorer than it used to be.

To watch a series of a programme that will be on TV Choice on demand not catch up tv. Catch up tv is only the past 7 days and always has been 7 days but TV Choice shows whole series of programs and also HBO content etc. You need to have the XL TV Pack to get this or its an extra 5 pound a month but at the moment it is free to all to make up for the loss of the basic Sky Channels

According to CS, there is a problem with Doctor Who not showing at all on Catch Up TV. They are trying to sort it out.

Re: On Demand

The OP is right though because last year (on NTL at least) Pick of the week held some programmes for more than a week.. DW was there - up to 8 episodes- and Spooks too in the autumn. But catch up is deffo only the 7 days now.

I'm curious about this too, having sat down to finally try it out, only to be told I need to subscribe, which the website tells me is a £5 a month(!).

I thought On Demand was supposed to be the thing to make up for us not having Sky One - which we were told was too expensive at 90p a month, wasn't it? What happened to using the money saved to put into extra channels - instead we have to increase our bill by over 40% (for those on Size L) to get what they're offering us as a replacement...

Re: On Demand

no there should not be a charge. I had forgotten, when looking for Dr Who, that such episodes are found under "TV Choice".
I have heard that Virgin Media may be bought out by an American Company
