Powering Up...Just a moment Question

My T.V screen is showing "Virgin Media, Powering Up...Just a moment ", how long does the install take?

It should only say that if u unplug it from the box or from the wall..if u turn your box on from the remote it should come on ..just like that(as tommy cooper used to say)..

What have you done to make it say that...

When my v+ was installed, it took around 5 minutes for the software to install. However, while it was installing, the display on the front of the box was counting up.

Which box do you have ? Have you turned the power off removed the card power up and when the ch come back put the card in .Pace 4010 have this problem when getting new software .Its woth a try

the counting up is ok, thats the software downlodng to the box, and try as above

Ok people just got off the phone with a helpfel cs bloke after experiencing this issue. I was advised, after firstly waiting 30 minutes initially for the box to sort itself out with nothing happening, to firstly take out viewing card from front of box, then unplug the power cable from back of box & wait 20 secs. After 20 secs plug power lead back in, wait for picture to come back up on tv, the virgin media one with that annoying message then put your card back in the slot at the front. He advised not to change channel for at leats 2 minutes.

Hope this helps others as it did the trick for me.
