Hi,I have the silver telewest remote control and the volume buttons dont work.
Can anyone help as how to enter the codes for various televisions.
Also is it possible to get the remote to just control the cable box volume(as the old remotes used to do).If so how do you default it back to the cable box.
if you still got the blue graphics you need to go to home,display audio settings, trouble shoot, remote control.find tv add code.probally best to read how to do it 1st.same options.and no you cant default the remote to work the box volume.might have to turn the volume up to 10 too on display and audio settings.if you got the black and yellow its similiar but easier to find.good luck.
what make is your tv you press volume plus 2nd mute together untill the red light flashes then input your tv code and it will flash again i can post your codes but need to know what make the tv is theres no way that i know of to set it back to the box unfortunately
silver remote not work on pace box for volume only works on tv providing tv manufacturer allows this. Advise given on prev threads will show if tv allows remote to be prgramed to adjust volume.. New samsung box can adjust volume from box.
Guess this was done to overcome tv manufacturers not allowing third party's have access to codes.
