EPG gone again

Firstly I assume EPG means Electronic Programme Guide, is that so.
The problem is that I find it hard to remember when it worked continuously for more than one day. Today it says 4:00 Intermission 6:00 Ray Mears .....
on allchannels. I seem to be always rebooting box. I have a Samsung running old NTL software. What can I do?

Re: EPG gone again

EPG is, as you say, Electronic Programme Guide.

Not sure what the problem is, but I have been having similar problems since my Pace box was updated with the new Virgin software. I have to re-boot sometimes to get on-demand working and also the EPG sometimes does not show correct info until after a re-boot...

Problems with the new software? Or a temporary problem until the new software has been rolled out, i.e. the software rollout is not enabling the EPG etc. to update properly?

Re: EPG gone again

The ntl software had a bug which caused this, at first it didnt happen often it appeared to happen more frequently just lately for some unknown reason. I have not had the problem yet on the new software so i presume it is fixed.

I had that problem...so i un plugged it left it for about a min plugged it back in and now is fine...but saying that we shoulnt have to do this all the time when the epg goes down..its shoulnt happen at all..virgin REALLY need to sort this out..its gettin a bit annoying its not the first time this has happened.

I think this is the 4th time this has happened this month and its only the 12th..oh god what a long month this is going to be.
