Help! Hopeless newbie...

So, I finally made the switch from analogue to digital (call me a Luddite). And everything is great except that nothing I do seems to make the VCR work with the STB. I am sure it is unbelievably simple (at least I hope so). I just assumed that all I would need to do would be to retune the channels on the VCR channel on the TV, assuming the set up would be the same for the new STB as the old one. Obviously I was wrong, but if anyone can offer me any words of advice, I would be very grateful.

I dare say I will be back with other daft and blindingly obvious questions before too long, so apologies in advance...

Re: Help! Hopeless newbie...

Well make sure the vcr scart cable is connected to the right socket on the stb, theres one for vcr an one for tv, it says at the top of them. I can only get mine through a video channel when the vcr is not in standby and tuned into its av channel. Hope that helps a bit.

Re: Help! Hopeless newbie...

If you are connected to the video by Scart you need to change the video to AV to record.
