Setanta Ireland
Can someone ask the question to VM of why Setanta Ireland cant be shown on VM. Setanta say its to do with the volume of data transmission or something.
I'm subscribed to NASN to watch live coverage of the NASCAR. However as ESPN only gave the rights for Setanta to transmit it in UK and Ireland they can show it on Setanta Ireland which VM dont carry. Therefore cable customers pay the same as sky customers and yet again get a lesser service.

Re: Setanta Ireland
I can answer this question, quite simply, I contacted Setanta, after l got Setanta on cable and found that l could not get TWO channels one of them was 'Ireland' l was told by Setanta, it is up to VM, NOT them to supply the channel, the FULL NINE CHANNELS are supplied to broadcasters at £15.00 per month, ONLY Sky show them, l spoke at Length with VM over this matter and they advised me that THERE cable did not have enough space to carry the FULL package, and when l asked about the fee (£15.00) they told me, l did not have to have it, if l didn't want it. I cancelled the package straight away, it is about time VM got there act together and told customers the truth. l feel so angry that l was conned by a major company

Well i guess as they now have 5 spare channels so they should be ok. If i could get through to them without being cut off i'd ask again

Re: Setanta Ireland
This is one of the things that p***es me off about NTL/Virgin Media as they always seem to hold back the full packages.

Virgin Media cant show Setanta Ireland as Setanta Ireland show an LIVE Football every Saturday at 3pm like West Ham VS Liverpool they cant show it in the UK so Virgin will not carry it.

Re: Setanta Ireland
Does the forum no longer have any contacts within VM to ask this sort of question?

Re: Setanta Ireland
Perhaps VM can not switched the channel off and on during the day to blockout the blacklisted programmes in the UK ??
