New Guide does not cover tomorrow and other issues.

Hi,

We've just had a software update to our box (it now says Virgin Media).

Now the new guide does not go past the early hours of the morning, so I cannot set reminders for the programs that I want to watch tomorrow.

The new colours are horrible, very difficult to see.

The on-demand is so compressed that it is very difficult to watch.

There seems to be no option to choose the reminder sound - because there isn't one?.

Not happy.

Oh and we can still only contact support by telephone which is no good when you are deaf!

I think the black and yellow is much better than the telewest blue. Also i think the way things are set out is much better too. What i didn't used to like with telewest was the program info vanishing as soon as you changed channels sometimes. It's better noe, it stays on when it's supposed to stay on.

I've not noticed the guide does not cover tomorrow though. I will have to remember to look for that when i get home from work.

It seems that you cannot organise the channels to the order that you want. I know you can set favourites but they are still ordered by the default channel numbers. I liked the old way because I could move all the rubbish to the bottom and just have the decent channels at the top of the list.

I'd like to see the mini view option being reinstated when you are browsing through, on the NTL EPG you could select a mini view without having to go back to come out of the guide. Also get rid of those 2 goons JK and Joel when browsing On Demand

I agree with pretty much everything that's been said, although I don't take strong exception to the new text colours.

My main gripes are that I can't reorder my channels and, most especially, that the "on demand" stuff is now sooo sloooow!!!

I spent ten minutes trying to watch "Life on Mars" but all I got was a message telling me that the titles were loading. All this time the picture in picture display wasn't the channel I was last watching, but a video with those two idiots telling me how to use Virgin TV.

When Virgin lost the Sky Channels they said that they would commit resources to provide extra services like "catch up TV" and VOD. Well, I hope it speeds up, because, at the moment, it's unusable.
