Re: VM Vplus STB spec

Thanks for that. I saw that but when I asked VM they said that they use Samsung boxes. Are they just re-badged Sci ATs then?

As far as i am aware they are not Samsung boxes on V+ just on standard Digital cable. The V+ box even comes in a Sc-At box and has there sticker on it!!!

Re: VM Vplus STB spec

mine was installed the other day and it was a Sci Atl, although when the engie took it out to my horror it was a brand new (although branded wrong) silver tv-drive and has buggerd up my feng-shui and karma as there's no colour co-ordination between tv/v+/phone and new cabinet

Re: VM Vplus STB spec

I have a V+ STB it also is a Sci/At 8300!!

Although it doesn't have any other badges on the face plate other than TVDrive.
I have seen the new Virgin branded ones that look exactly the same except instead of Graphite they're Black and branded Virgin

I'm not sure why the specs are that important it's gonna have SCART and seeing as it's capable of HD there's gonna be HDMi ports also.

Check out this link to quench your thirst for specs: http://www.sciatl.com/customers/Source/7004921.pdf

I wanted to make sure it had an optical out to run the sound output through the home cinema amp, the sound on my plasma is a bit substandard. I was also wondering about RGB scart out to connect it upto a media center PC.
