Ntl - User woes

Since Friday, 230207 I have had no reception on my cable TV. I am a former NTL customer; I cannot get though on the help number suggested for former NTL customers. On a repeated attempt it seems the office is suffering “technical difficulties”. Or when I do get through my details are not registered with them and I am passed to the “right area” and cut off. I have contacted them twice by email and had no reply.

Has this got something to do with the change over to Virgin? And if so, why was this not foreseen? Does anyone know how to contact them other than on 0845 4541111?
I was sent two letters from Virgin telling me I was about to join then, but no new customer number.

I had been so looking forward to joining Virgin Media with all the extra stuff on offer. Very disillusioned.

Re: Ntl - User woes

Your customer number is unlikely to have changed with the move to Virgin Media, although any direct debits will now show up as VM rather than ntl. Have those been collected normally?

For a fault it's not worth trying email, the email will not get a priority look at, especially when things are busy. Phone is the best route. I suspect phone lines are very busy because of the Sky One type mess, but you need to persevere to find out what they actually say.

oh and to Cable Forum
