V+ Install Questions

Hi,

If I were to order a V+ Box from Virgin, and take my old box for £5 and month extra in the bedroom can anyone tell me whether Virgin will need to run in cable from the Omni box on the front of the house to each box, and most likely a cable modem too as I currently run BB off the Samsung? As all boxes/modem will be at the back of a property and the only way to route the cable is outside on large wall (or behind skirting where existing cable is, which id prefer not to take off)

Or would Virgin be able to run a 3 way splitter off my existing Coax in the lounge to 2 additional points without routing from Omni box. I probably wont go for it if I have new wiring as its all very neat at the moment as original was installed during renovation so has been nicely hidden. CS dont seem to know what im asking, not there fault I guess!

Re: V+ Install Questions

I had an extra STB fitted and there is a separate cable from the outside box around the house to the bedroom wall. There are two boxes inside the house from where the cable runs to the STB.
In any case the engineer will discuss with you where the wiring will go before starting.

Re: V+ Install Questions

Thanks,

I would prefer not to have any more cable ran if possible. So may have to give it a miss if I call them out and then decide im not happy with where the cable needs to go they will most likely charge me. The original was ran under skirting as opposed to outside to stop little brats from pulling the cable off the wall as they did at my old house!
