I hope V/M do somthing clever to get back at Sky, I would love to see "Virgin One" replacing Sky One.

No but they could pull the best stuff off or not put new programmes on these channels and put them on virgin Central or VOD instead so only virgin media customers get to see them Like Bravo's The Unit.
Basically Just leave them to rot on endless rubbish repeats. Maybe put a snide warning on the feeds to SKY customers
Afterall VM own them and can put on them what they wish.

I certainly want to see VM make a price reduction for the loss of Sky 1. To my mind saying that they are going to plough back the money saved into VOD just doesn't cut it.

Yes but would you change your mind if 24 and new lost series appeared on VOD diminishing the pull of SKY ONE.

I might, but is that likely to happen? Isn't Lost exclusive to Sky?

You might be suprised. Branson no fool and there will be sweetners to soften the blow.
The cynic in me says virgin media already new something that SKY ONE was not a great pull due to future loss of content. Maybe VM already close or done deals and will announce a fast one on SKY. You goto admit VM not been exactly desperate to do a deal. NTL would caved in panick.
I would have thought any good business would have seen this coming and made arrangements to counter the loss. I thing those who want to jump should wait to see how VM react.

It will be interesting to see what happens next, as no doubt Sir Richard will have a back up plan of some sort.

They have only just put Lost Series 1 on the demand service, we are now on Series 3. I suppose if you want to wait a year or 2, then it will happen

But your assuming that everything will be pro-rata in the future. I say that virgin media will fight SKY for future broadcasting rights to SKY top blue ribboned shows. Yes its natural that SKY current exclusive content might just take time to get VOD rights. I would love to see series 1 24 on VOD.
