how much for VM / ntl mutli-room?

Hi

I've had a look on this forum and the virgin media site but don't seem to be able to find enough information for multi-room cable tv. So i thought i would ask on here (as the ntl account isn't in my name and i have heard that their staff are less than helpful!)

Anyway i have just moved into a shared house which has had one ntl digibox in the living room for just over a year. We're still on the orginal 3 for £30 offer as my flatmate called up and threatened to cancel it when he got a letter telling him that his introductory period was almost up.

So i am wondering how much exactly will it cost me to get an extra digibox for the flat? (installation fee? hardware cost? monthly fee?) Also who owns the box and are we subject to any kind of contract? We're in Glasgow if that makes any difference.

One additional thing is that we aren't the slightest bit interested in V+ or HD. All we want is the ability to watch different ntl channels two different rooms now and again.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Cheers

Re: how much for VM / ntl mutli-room?

We had an additional Set Top Box (STB) installed a couple of years ago and installation was free at the time.

It's £15 per month to rent the STB (so VM still own it) and you get exactly the same channels as you do on the original STB.

My info might be a bit out of date as it was installed a couple of years ago, and we're in a house (not flat) but I guess things haven't changed that much.

According to the VM website in the 'Demand more' table http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html...ngdigital.html , it costs £9.50 per month. Afraid I don't know whether there is a free install though.
Hope this helps.

If you have a V+ Box, then the additional cost is only £5.00 per month
Installation fee is £25 according to the website.
