V+ Remote - turn on/off TV ?

Sorry, no doubt this has been asked before but couldn't find it. I've setup the V+ remote to control the volume on the TV, but is it possible to also turn on/off the TV like i could with the the old Samsung remote ?

/Pete

PS - watching the England match in HD last night was great, just a shame about the result.

I thought HD was supposed to be better than SD. Surely England should have won in HD.

Re: V+ Remote - turn on/off TV ?

With practice it is possible to turn off the TV with the V+ remote

You need a clear view of the on/off button on the TV and you need you be a good aim.

Turning it on again involves getting up to retrieve the remote and putting the batteries back in after they fell out on impact
