Prem plus and a rant

Hi,
I'm new here so please excuse me if this has been discussed before.
What the hell happened to buying prem plus games in the tv-on-demand section
of the ntl service??
Do I have to ring up now everytime I want to pay to watch a game? Dull.

On a side note, does anybody know why the service has become so botchy ever since they switched everthing over to a new menu system.
Browsing the channels is such a chore now, it's like the stb is now connected at dialup modem speeds. Most of the time it doesn't list the program I just get 'searching for programmes...'. And the tv guide generally doesn't work properly, it freezes and tells me there's a fault and to try again later.
I keep ringing up ntl and all I get is "we'll send a new signal down the line" which makes no difference whatsoever. They won't send an engineer.

Overall since the switch the sevice has gotten buggy and slow, yet nobody at ntl will accept this at all. Seriously thinking of just packing in ntl, I'm so frustrated with them.

Like I said, sorry if all this is old news, I've only discovered this excellent site.

Can't you press On Demand and then RED for Pay-Per-View and then choose Sports. That always worked for me (haven't tried it today though - might be a glitch?)

If there is more than one match being shown in a single 24 hours period, the first match will be shown on 501, the second on 502.

You can only purchase the PPV event when it has started. Say, for example, the match starts at 1700 - wait until 1700 then turn to whichever channel the match is on (501/502). When the "Now/Next" bar has disappeared, another bar will pop up prompting you to purchase the match for whatever amount it is (£8 I think).

Press RED to purchase, it will then ask you to confirm the purchase - a PIN number is not usually required for Prem Plus matches - so be careful!!

That should be you sorted!!

Cheers for the help guys, much appreciated.

Now if I could only have a service that isn't slow and buggy I'd be sorted.
