Red face lcd tv picture quality & cable

evesham32inch lcd tv picture quality

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

hi , i have a evesham alqemi tx 32 inch lcd tv hd ready , i have it conected as follows , 1 scart straight from cable box to tv , 1 scart from cable box into panasonic hard drive dvd recorder and then via scart into tv, and lastly tv ariel into cable box and then out to tv,
my problem is this when the picture is outside scene its very good clear and crisp great, but when its inside the picture quality is not so good atall
not good definition a bit wishy washy ,ive tried adjusting the settings colour , brightness contrast ,sharpness and backlight , but it seem not to make any difference to the indoors quality ,is this something im doing wrong , or are all lcds like this ,could it be a connection thing or is it the tv , would it be better connected with componant cables , i read that this is a better way ,or is it that this is a hd ready tv only getting a digital signal , im getting fed up messing and need some advice, i also have a problem with the lipsync sound on the telewest cable box ( digital) which i had before i changed my tv,and the indoors scenes look a bit orangey ive been told this is a telewest problem , anyone else notice this ? help !!

Re: lcd tv picture quality & cable

I'm also on telewest and have my scart going from cable box to dvd recorder to my lcd tv. The picture looks ok to me, but when i turn the tv on it doesn't pull the picture from the scart lead. I have to press a button on the remote to get a picture instead of it being automatic.

Sorry i can't help with your problem.

Re: lcd tv picture quality & cable

Hi here, when we first got our H/D TV we had to get the new TV drive box from Telewest as the picture quality was so poor. The fact is that they show all their H/D TVs through a loop in the shop taking from a pre-recorded DVD, so when you get it home, the picture is crap to say the least?
The TV Drive box cost us an extra £15 a month, but believe me it was well worth it, as the picture quality is just amazing!

We got the old box wired up in our bedroom for only a £5 a month charge, which means my wife, who is disabled, can view all her favourite programs in bed
