video sender for samsung ntl box
Can anyone here tell me of a video sender that works with the silver samsung ntl box please?
I have tried a total control one which was £39.99 from Argos but it won't work although it does work on my friends pace box.
Any advice gratefully received.

Re: video sender for samsung ntl box
I would be interested but really want to go and get one tomorrow so I can watch ntl in the kitchen while cooking Christmas dinner.

Re: video sender for samsung ntl box
digisender is the one I know about but its 100quid ish.
I currently have AV going through CAT5 in my house and since the house has just been completed will need a remote to switch the channels and so was looking at digi sender.
At the moment I'm switching the channels using a PC and a PDA

Re: video sender for samsung ntl box
I have just tried again and it still won't work, yet tried it on a friends pace earlier today and it was fine.
I have also been looking for an earlier thread on this as I'm sure there has been one, but not able to find it.
Thanks

Re: video sender for samsung ntl box
Ive found it... the thread was called "NTL multi room??" Try searching the forum for it.
It's under NTL phone & cable tv heading forum list.

Re: video sender for samsung ntl box
I used to have a video sender (about 12 years ago) but I don't think it was legal since it transmitted on the normal UHF TV frequencies. Not very far mind, but still.

Re: video sender for samsung ntl box
I have a Pace box from Telewest, so would this be the same as the NTL Pace box, and work with the Argos Video Sender?
Also, could you zap channels from your second location with that?

Re: video sender for samsung ntl box
I use the Digi sender GOLD. Works perfect with the NTL sammy box, expensive at £100 though.

Re: video sender for samsung ntl box
I'm using a 'Technika TT-07' Audio video sender that I bought from Tesco for £24.99 (about 3 weeks ago) with a Samsung SMT2100C. It even allows you to switch channels. My brother has the newer Samsung (2110?) and I can confirm this also works with the newer box.
Only down-side is it only has one SCART socket on the sender.

Re: video sender for samsung ntl box
Like s3man, I have the bog standard Tecnika video senders (although sometimes they are branded as something else). The remote control works fine with my Samsung box.
In fact, all should work with the Samsung, as it has standard remote control codes. Its the Pace that has a proprietry one that you might have trouble with.
