Paramount Comedy 1 & 2 (Channel 132 & 133)

We've been having issues with Paramount Comedy 1 & 2 (Channel 132 & 133) for the past 3 - 4 nights.

We're in RG12. There's no picture, just a black screen & the sound is stuttering. A reboot of our silver Samsung 2110 STB did nothing. Every other channel is fine, however.

If it's just us, I guess we'll need to call NTL. Unless we can come over to one of your houses to watch TV! No? Ok..

Anyone else having trouble with these channels?

(I did a forum search before starting this new thread. I found this post about the channel, but it's from back in May and I wasn't sure if I should bump it or not. Could a friendly Admin please merge the two if I've made this new thread for no good reason?)

I'm having the same problems aswell. I was hoping to watch fraiser at afternoon but there was no picture or sounds.

Yes this is a national issue that has been ongoing since yesterday.

I am in AL5 and get some picture and sound but lots of freezes and blocking on PC1 and PC2.
been like that for a couple of days.

Wonder whjat the NTL service status page says - will nip over and find out....

Its acknowledged as a national fault on the recorded staus messages when you ring faults - don't know about the status page.

Both Paramounts are working just fine here in PO13 which I believe is Bromley.

But then I never thought we were part of the nation anyway.

weird, same postcode & both mine seem fine ?????

I only watched each one for about 5 minutes, though, so if it is patchy, I won't have caught it

If its affecting people besides those on Langley, then I'd suggest someone in the engineering side checks that the broadcasters are not using auto or field based encoding.

It doesn't mention it for Bromley on the faults IVR - then again its because they've got worse issues to worry about at the moment

I believe it does affect Bromley though as well when I checked earlier on today...

I would go and check see if its working here (probably not as it would seem from posts above Langley areas are worse affected) but tbh I've been watching tv this evening on the other tv with the Sky+ instead.

Well I say again that I'm having no trouble with either at the moment..unfortunately.If I have to sit through a 6th runthrough of Sienfeld much longer I will be committing murder.
