VCR setup

Hi,
first i'll describe the connections that my whole system contain :
My TV connected to the VCR,my computer's Audio wires connected to the VCR's Audio Wires, and the VCR's audio wires connected to the CD player (compact disc).

the problem is like that :
when it was all connected it worked just fine, then someday i wasnt at home and my sister took the whole electricity wires out, then the things above happened :
The tv plays just fine, the screen & picture is ok,both Audio of the VCR channel and computer (tv's audio wires are not connected to the vcr,the sound play by its speakers) works fine too.
but when i connect the cables(antena) to the VCR - the picture is really really bad (the screen of snow with some shadow of the VCR's selected channel).
I'd say that I should search to the right channel of the VCR's channel on the TV,but not only that i've searched for the channel 3-4 times and i didnt find any better VCR's channel, but also when i recored and then after i stop the recording ,and I'm disconnecting off the antenna's wire from the VCR i can view the recorded thing very clear and fine, but if i'm connecting the antenna again,it look bad as before,so what could be the problem ?

thank u very very much,in advance

From the brief description you have given it may well be tha the RF connector (the co-axial aerial) amplifier is borked (technical term for saying it has expired). Could well be a job for a repair technician, if it's financially worth it. Next time tell your sister to keep hands off

I'm assuming that you have connections between your STB, VCR and TV using SCART leads in addition to the co-axial aerial? If you have that explains the clear playback picture.
