Very frequently when I enter VOD I will get errors SEAC : cancelled and SEAC: 1, has anyone have any ideas what these errors are, only started happening recently, thanks.

Re: Problem with VOD in Swansea
At what point in VoD are you getting these errors?

Re: Problem with VOD in Swansea
It happens when I click the On Demand button on my remote, and sometimes when I choose Pick of the Week function (as the error had not appeared on the first page)

Re: Problem with VOD in Swansea
Hmmm, does a re-boot resolve the problem, and if so does the problem return after a re-boot?

Re: Problem with VOD in Swansea
The problem will return, may not straight away, as as I said it just happens very frequently not all the time, but will return within a few uses.

Re: Problem with VOD in Swansea
Right, not sure whats causing that, whether its a fault with your STB or something further up the line.....perhaps a TV tech could offer some advice.
I suppose the obvious question now would be have you reported the issue to ntl?

Re: Problem with VOD in Swansea
I thik the SEAC errors were always something to do with the VOD service and not the STB.
There were numerous pages on them kicking about the intranet saying what each one was.
Most of them were problems with either content on the server not being available.

There is, but they all have 3 or 4 digits after them, such as "SEAC501" and "SEAC404-2". Not what Adlam reported.
Adlam: I think you're best off ringing ntl.

Re: Problem with VOD in Swansea
It's not just Swansea that's affected, I've had this problem in Cardiff - yesterday evening, in fact.

Re: Problem with VOD in Swansea
2nd line will run a few checks on your STB and call you soon. Probably a return path issue and may need a tech to check it out for you.... eg. adjust power levels.

Re: Problem with VOD in Swansea
Well it would seem to be a signal problem, they havent got back to me yet but I now cannot access the VOD service at all, as i have 'Connection Problems' the TV picture is stuttering and poping, so im certain its a signal problem.

Re: Problem with VOD in Swansea
Sounds about right. So long as there's no local area problem and all your connections are secure either your set top box is on it's way out or the power levels are kaput!! Get back on to faults tomorrow and report the freezing pics. They really should book a tech for you if the problem is persisting.

Re: Problem with VOD in Swansea
Well no reply from the secondary faults department, and I rang last thursday, and saturday and yesterday, for 3 individual faults which all revolve around VOD and signal levels. Now today I have no Interactive services so there is deffinatly a fault with 'Lost OOB lock' coming up in the event log nearly every minute. Also what is a good signal level in the Network Status, mine is at 52, is that good or bad? Thanks
