TV Channel Listings not in the correct sequence

Since I had my old PACE STB replaced with another seemingly faulty PACE STB, when I should have had a New Samsung instead, all my TV Channel Listings have suddenly all got mixed up.

i.e. Sky Sports 1 (Channel 40) upon pressing the page up button (next channel) which used to goto Sky Sports 2 (Channel 41) it now skips to channel 100, and then to 3, and so, they are all over the place.

Does anyone know of a way to get them back in sequence, i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on.. I have to keep resetting the box too, because I keep loosing the Broadband connection.

Re: TV Channel Listings not in the correct sequence

Firstly,
Go to services,-rearrange channels & then you can manually put them into order (highlight ,say,Sky 1,& press the number for 'move up/down'
That will allow you to re-arrange your channels.
For the BB, go to the Digi box &Press 'pageup-down-blue' go to page 3.Under 'conn status' it should read '5 conn(connected)(useful tip to check if it's ok)
If you dont have this, you have no return path & niether BB nor Interactive will work.

Re: TV Channel Listings not in the correct sequence

Hi Spike - I appreciate your reply, but when I press Services on the box, it just brings up the Now and Next information bar. Also has i've got channels that go upto 901 is there no quick way of selecting the default channel line-up. i.e. BBC1 = 1, BB2 = 2, ITV = 3, and so on. It would take me ages even if I could find a way to manually change the channel line-up, doing it 1 by 1.

Also I do not have a pageup-pagedown on the digibox, that just makes it go to the next channel.

I'm frustrated with this PACE box, the other one I had previously wasn't like this, why the engineer swapped it, I'll never know, but he said he had to, as it was in his job book for that visit.

I think I'll just phone the fault line up, and request a Samsung, to keep me on the 2MB Broadband, I wanted to be kept on in the first place.

Thanks anyway.

Re: TV Channel Listings not in the correct sequence

Press "TV Guide"
Then option 4 "Channel Favourites"
then the red button "Edit Channel List"
then move the yellow box round "Return To Default List"
Then "Yes"

This should put them back in the correct order

For the "page up/page down/blue button" these are on your remote control, you need to press them one after the other as quickly as you can. Might take a couple of goes to do it as it can be a bit fiddly
