Living TV 2

Anyone know if ntl plan on giving us Living TV 2 anytime soon? We like Most Haunted on Living TV, which often continues over on Living TV 2, but we can't seem to find it wading through all the channels.

We have the Family Pack (everything except the Sport & Movie channels).

Re: Living TV 2

At the present time, Living TV 2 is not part of the Family Pack boquet of channels, and seems to be unlikely to join the DTV line-up soon as there "are capacity constraints" on the ntl platform at the moment and a priority list of channels waiting to join exists already, according to UCB TV who I had an email from recently regarding them launching on digital.

There are some more channels to launch on ntl: later in the year but nothing specific in terms of content, according to the letter that accompanies bills advising of the june price rises already discussed on here and DS forums.

Re: Living TV 2

Thanks for the reply. Shame, you'd think when they have programs that carry on across two channels that they'd include both channels in the pack, or keep it all on one channel.

Cheers anyhow.

Re: Living TV 2

Well maybe if they removed some analogue channels, rather than adding to them, these so-called "capacity contraints" would no longer be the case.

Living TV 2 is one of many major channels missing which have launched in the last 18 months. others include VH2, UKTV Style Gardens and a whole host of specialist channels and +1 services. I;d say around 100 channels have launched on satellite since ntl's last significant channel additions and only around 10 have appeared on ntl, with many of them being premium sport subscription channels.

Re: Living TV 2

There's a news report today that ntl are going to start carrying the additional Telewest channels they don't currently carry, which one assumes includes Living TV 2.

Update - see link - it may be 2006 before ntl carry the additional channnels

Re: Living TV 2

I remember reading on one of the other threads (it was the one about the NTL and Telewest merger) that Telewest are looking to offload Flextech...
Sounds like they are trying to achieve similar channel lineups before they continue with any merger as it's gonna take a while for everyone to receive the same services everywhere, so to make them similar would be a step in the right direction perhaps?

Good news that NTL are due to get LivingTV 2 though... the kids had been asking about it as they'd seen adverts for it but couldnt find it on our set (We have family pack without movies and sport but with the disney channels).

Re: Living TV 2

Living TV 2 is to be added to ntl sometime next year. UKTV Style Gardens is due to appear later this year, along with the other 8 Flextech timeshift channels which ntl currently does not carry.
