Mailing Lists
Hi,
From about midnight on Wednesday night/Thursday morning I have not received any emails from a mailing list that I am on. I have received these emails at work (so I know they exist) and I have received non-mailing list emails on my ntlworld account (so I know it isn't my email which is not working).
I was wondering if anyone knew whether NTL have recently installed a block on mailing lists, or has introduced new Spam Filters which are stopping mailing list emails getting through?
Thanks,
Jon Burton

Need more info, such as the domain that the emails come from.

They're from, or the hosting comany is:
http://www.lsoft.com/
and the emails end in:
@home.ease.lsoft.com

Re: Mailing Lists
Hmmm, nothing obvious I can see there, send an email to postmaster@mailhost.ntl.com, and give them details of the problem.

Re: Mailing Lists
So the mailing list sends emails to both your work email account and your home account? The work one received the emails, but the home one didn't? It could just be something as simple as the mailing list software - had a fit for some reason.

Re: Mailing Lists
I don't think it's a mailing list problem. There are about 25 other people on the mailing list, 5 of whom are with NTL and the other 20 with a number of other ISPs. All 5 of us on NTL are not getting the posts, including me (at home). All the other non-NTL people (including me at work) are getting the posts.
Have NTL switched their virus/spam filtering to a 3rd party (Critical Path)?

No, ntl doesn't use Critical Path for email, they employ their own spam/AV filtering.
It could be that there is an issue with the mail list being on some sort of block list that ntl subscribes too perhaps?

Re: Mailing Lists
Hi all,
the missing emails which got lost somewhere since the end of last week have just all been delivered. Whilst I knew they were being held somewhere (since I was receiving them at a non-NTL address) I had set up a forwarding service from a gmail account (registering with the mailing list using the gmail account and then forwarding the emails to ntlworld account) and that worked. For some reason it was just the emails sent directly from the mailing list that I (and 4 other NTL customers stopped receiving).
So, at the moment, problem resolved. Although, I would like to know what the problem was...
