just turned to sky sports and it says i'm not subsribed, my wife phoned yesterday to upgrade the package but it doesn't look like it's happend

, anything i can do today?
P.s i've tried uplugging the box and my account is all paid up

i dunno, but bad luck cus its sunday...and its their day off which probably means your about to miss the match you really want to see, no?

Erm, we all know you are annoyed, but is there any need for that? Its a stupid idea NTL CS being closed on a Sunday, but there is nothing we can do about.

imo yes this week phone line was down for 24hrs and they arsed up the dd took 2 months AGAIN!, think i can hear sky+ & bt calling

Even if CS were open today you wouldnt get a technician until Monday at the earliest so you would still miss the football, surely it would have made more sense to check the channel's had come through on Saturday?

Just phone bang on 8am, you might get lucky and get a tech the same day.

Usually find after sending some signals through the offending channels come back on so no need to send a man in a van

Thats one fix but if the channels are still not coming through after such a long time then an account reload or a truck roll is needed to swapout the STB most of the time.

After the signals are sent if they don't come back on then the account is monitored and the customer is called back later. If the pictures haven't come back then thats the time the man in a van is booked to visit. It was found in so many cases the pictures did come back of their own accord and lots of appointment slots were taken for faults that had actually resolved.

The package is updated, you check that the channel add goes through the DI after that if it doesnt hit the customers STB then you try a refresh, re-initialise, clean the card etc, if it still doesnt hit the customers box you book a truck and try a reload, if after the reload the channel comes back on then you cancel the service call, if it doesnt then the truck roll is needed.

I work in 2nd line Faults I know the process mate.
