Does anyone know the Reset Procedure for the Pace DI4001N???

Hi Every one

Please forgive me but i'm new to the group. can any one tell me what the reset procedure for the pace DI4001N is, and if it is simply disconnecting the power at the back of the box.

Also if this is the case how do you know it has cleared memory and not simply switched itself back on??

Apprecite any advice or thoughts

Kal

Hi Kal, welcome to Cableforum!

If you turn it off at the plug for 20-30 seconds, this is usually enough to clear the memory.

Are you having any specific problems we could help you with?

Hi seaneeboy

Thanks for your quick response, browsing menu disappearing after about 5 seconds, constant freezing and unable to access interactive, I tried taking the power lead out of the back not sure this has been working though as there does not seem to be any way to check that it has restet itself, or if it has just switched back on with the same memory.

Cheers

Hi Kal El I can't suggest a fix for the freezing interactive (except to suggest that you don't use it - I don't!) But you can change the length of time the Mini-Guide remains on screen in your settings.

Alternatively, if you bring up the mini-guide on screen by pressing your TV button, then it will remain on screen permanently until you dismiss it by pressing 'TV' again. I always do it this way because otherwise, if you press 'Browse' to view details of a programme you come across in the mini-guide, the mini-guide goes away as the programme details come up, which I found to be a pain.

Re: Does anyone know the Reset Procedure for the Pace DI4001N???

Kal El: Switching power off at the wall for a few seconds will totally reset the memory. But it sounds to me like you need to give ntl a call to sort out the freezing and interactive.

If that doesnt work try booting in a different way, holding down the up or down arrow keys (not together though)

Re: [Merged] Does anyone know the Reset Procedure for the Pace DI4001N???

videoman: It's broken. You'll need to report that to the Virgin Media Faults department.
ps. A Pace 4000 is a very different box from a 4001.
pps. Welcome to the forum!
