ntl broadcasting over channel five
we are unable to watch channel five if our cable box (NTL Pace 2000) is swiched on please can you tell us how to retune the cable box away from channel five

press ok, right, tv (i think)on the stb i think and change it to rf channel 52 or sommet
doesnt work on all boxes tho

When you reboot it press up and down (I think, it's been so long) on the front of the box then and change the channel it outputs on.

In that case you could feed your arial direct into the VCR, and then the output of the VCR into the STB and then the STB into the TV - that way the RF output of the STB will not affect the CH.5 recording on the VCR.

This is what Pem's on about :
So long as your TV is connected to the STB using scart leads then you don't need to worry about the STB's RF output channel much. But, even like this, it could cause a little interference. The best solution is to call customer services and they will talk you through adjusting the channel.
