DVB-T PC cards, when were they first introduced?

I know it will take us a little while to start seeing DVB-T2 PCI cards, USB dongles etc due to the fact that manufactures are at the moment focussing on creating DVB-T2 chips for TVs and STBs etc.... but I was wondering something: what year did DVB-T hardware for PCs start appearing? I was thinking obviously some time after the collapse of OnDigital, but I'm not quite sure.

Re: DVB-T PC cards, when were they first introduced?

Probably around the time of OnDigital starting - they were probably used by engineers for measuring signals straight into software. They'll have been expensive, but probably were around.

As you say though, they probably became popular enough with consumers from 2003 onwards.

DVB-T2 dongles won't take long at all. s
