Five and ITV4 change Mux on Sept 30th

All freeview users will need to retune their TV's, DVD/PVR's and STB's on 30th September as the long awaited move of FIVE from Mux A to Mux 2 finally happens. ITV4 moves to Mux A. The BBC national radio stations are likely to move to Mux 1 also.

Re: Five and ITV4 change Mux on Sept 30th

Thought I'd have seen some disgruntled moans from the footie brigade about this. If ITV show two matches at once, where does the second match go? ITV4! If you're in a Freeview Lite area after switchover you will need a dish or cable to watch ITV4 matches.

This seems crazy to me, as Mux 2 is carrying a +1 service (Ch4) and yet ITV4 has to move. To me a +1 service is a luxury add on and should be moved alongside ITV2+1 on a non PSB Mux. Perhaps a few complaints to Ofcom (who are initiating this change) would be in order.
