Re: New to TV Drive.
You can. In fact I think (i'm too lazy to turn it on) TW say it is an eight day epg. (caused them a few problems at first, but has settled down, now)

Re: New to TV Drive.
Will I be getting BBC HD & ITV HD from Friday with my TV Drive Box without an HD Telly?

Re: New to TV Drive.
Yo
If you have a cheap tele out of "say" Tesco's (ie. it only has a 300 line definition), then you will see the difference. If you have an (expensive) standard definition TV, with a full (nearly) 600 line definition, and no bigger than 32 inch screen, then you'll be hard pushed to tell the difference. How can I explain this... OK try this.
With the "old fashioned film cameras. ie. The Instamatic 110 camers are; ok upto 5x4 inch prints. Try and print at 10x8 inch and it'll look grainy. Now a very good 35mm SLR camera can (ostensibly) go upto this size, but if you want you wedding photo's enlarged to poster size you'll need a quarter plate camera. However ALL these formats will look about the same printed at 5x4 inch size, or less.
So, I have been enjoying these HD channels on my SD TV, and they are good. 5.1 db surround (my system can cope with 6.1 DTS). Telewest please take note. Hem Hem.
If you want bigger than 32in screen, then get an HDCP compliant HDTV PLASMA.. Not LCD... Plasma does NOT have the limitations of a few years ago. Half life is now as good as a CRT TV and, screen burn will disapear after a few hours use of motion video! No really it is true. Mind you; I am waiting for Organic Light Emitting Diode (O-LED) technology.
Oh and as for the TV guide. It is much better than Sky+. Setting a series to record is also better. It will handel programs that are only on once a month. Try that with Sky+?

Well, it is never exactly 8 full days.
My EPG currently goes from 13:00 Friday 15/9 to 24:00 Friday 22/9, so at the moment is just under 7 1/2 days.
And at 24:00 tonight it will be only seven days as the next EPG update will not be untill approx 06:00 tomorrow.
