Total loss of certain channells

Over the past week now mainly channel 4 and e4 and occasionally htv has been cutting out which brings up the 'this channel is not available please wait or try again later' message. It amazes me how it seems to be fine and then when i want to watch something, out of the god knows how many channels i've got it's the one particular one i want that decides to go off

I've unplugged the box, rebooted a dozen times, next step is to throw it out of the window

What is going on

Do you have any other boxes?

If so what are they like?

are they both lost at the same time?

I have just the one v plus box mate, it's been doing it for about a week now, it's very frustrating

Just to make it clear, suppose what i've put above could be misunderstood, i have no other tv set up in my house besides my one v plus box

Re: Total loss of certain channells

I had this problem a week or so ago, BBC1 HD disappeared (just as the footie started!).

I rang them and they said I'd get a call back from their "missing channels" team within 24-48hours. The channel reappeared a few hours later and I never got the call. I guess they found the fault and fixed it at their end.
