DVDs with HDMI in and out connectors for V+ recordings

Does anyone know of DVD recorders with HDMI in and out so I can connect the V+ to the DVD and then the DVD to the TV. This this how one would normally connect a DVD to the TV !

sorry mate, there is currently no such thing, you will have to wait until a blu-ray recorder comes onto the market, (i'm not even sure that they record through HDMI, although i cant think of any other way a HD signal can be recorded except component.)

Isn't that weird? I think it would be a logical feature. Wonder if it's a protection against illegal recordings?
