Meant to post this the other day but got side tracked.
I went to watch the Portugal game on Sunday evening which was on ITV 4. I started to watch it and the picture was terrible, I watch via a 32" 1080p HD TV and have the V+ set to broadcast in 1080i. Usually I am very happy with the picture and the upscaling, I watch Eurosport a lot and I know that is a low bit rate channel and don't have any problems. This time it was like watching a match played by lego men and i had to turn over.
Anyone else see this game and get a really poor picture ?
ITV4 is broadcast on all platforms suffers from very low bit rates. If you think it's bad on cable, you should see it on Freeview
When they have Champions League games from the smaller countries on there in the winter it's pretty much unwatchable. With all of the Euro 2008 matches shot in HD, it's pretty dire that they look just as bad. Don't blame Virgin - this is ITV.
