Re: component connection

I was just about to point out that V+ does upscale via component, but other people beat me to it. HDMI also allows you to watch copy-protected HD content, such as HD Filmflex movies.

Re: component connection

The V+ box has component outputs on the back. The cable for the component connection can be picked up reasonably cheaply from places like Maplin see:

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...43111&doy=11m6

at £14.99

You can watch BBC HD (and any other HD channels that may one day turn up on VM ) and on demand HD programmes. The only thing I haven't been able to watch are the HD versions of the Filmflex movies which is a shame but not desperate.

Ah, fair enough

I assumed it was the same as with DVDs etc.

Still, even though it does upscale over component, there are still copy protection issues for some content.
