V+ Pin

Hi All

Last week the installation engineer asked me what I wanted the PIN to be and set the V+ box up.
The number I chose was the same as the PIN on our old V box.
Last night my wife tried to watch a programme that we had recorded and the V+ box asked for the PIN (don't know why, it was only House recorded from Channel 5) anyway, the V+ box doesn't agree with us what the PIN is!
I tried again 15 mins later but it still won't accept the number that I asked to be set. I tried in varios parts of 'Settings' where it asks for PIN but no joy.

Please can someone tell me how do I get the PIN reset? Call Customer Services or is there another way?

Thanks,
C.

Re: V+ Pin

Try 1234 as this is the default pin for the V+ box. All programmes recorded after 9pm are pin protected from what I can tell.

If that is wrong then try 0000. We were given that pin before.

Cheers, will give those a go.

I tried House a bit later on (not that I don't believe the wife! ) and it worked without asking for a PIN. Odd.

Re: V+ Pin

If you go into settings you can set it up so you don't need to use a pin for your recordings.

Home- Settings- Parental control- Own recordings off.

If you record record a programme after the watershed, it will ask for a pin if you try to watch it before the watershed.Unless you switch recording pin to off.
