Error Code 2001?

i hope some one can tell me if my local area edinburgh has a local fault with the v+ sevcie as i am getting the error code 2001 and says i am not subscribed to the service which i have had v+ since dec 2007?

i push the v+ button and it comes up with this error code details 2001 and i can do any thing other than watch tv at the moment, cant pause and stop or fast forward live tv, and the live tv illumination which is usually showing on the front of the box is not showing?

i have tried to use the reset button and re boot this but nothing works.

any help and advcie would be great thanks if anyone has been through this problem before,

Sounds like a signal problem, I think 2001 is to do with the gaps in between the signal bursts, they're supposed to be evenly spaced but 2001 indicates that they're oddly spaced.

In summary: 2001 is a Space Oddity

Sorry, couldn't resist. I know it doesn't help, but at least it bumps your problem a little. Hope you get it sorted

Re: Error Code 2001?

Definitely best to give them a call, they should be able to give you some idea what that code means - it's their kit after all

there are 2 different types of 'hits' boxes require, the standard one gives you your channel line-up the other puts the box on the interactive server and allows the V+ functionality,it sounds like your box has somehow come off the interactive server and will require a hit to it.this cant be done this week though as all the systems are down whilst the remaining legacy billing systems are migrated onto one single system.
