Timed Programs

I have set my new V+ box to add an extra 5 mins to recordings,to avoid premature ending of programs. This is successful in most instances but there are usually some programs which are not extended.Virgin tell me that it is a national problem currently being fixed.
has anyone else experience this?

As far as I am aware, this has been going on since they first let the V+ boxes out to customers, it happens when you are recording 2 programs & another starts, it somehow "strips" the padding to fit the program all in.

I have noticed this and it works most of the time however sometimes it fails. the other night I had 2 programs recording that finished at 10pm and 2 programs that started at 10pm but it would only record the first 2 programs and 1 of the later ones.

I don't mind it removing the padding on comercial channels as usually the program finishes before the end time, its usually only a problem when it takes the padding off programs that are on bbc channels. but seeing as the padding can't be set to a activate on certain channels i'll just have to live with it as it is at the moment.
