V+ Record issue

Hi,

Got a problem with my V+ service, the V+ box is supposed to be able to record two channels whilst watching a third. However, currently my V+ box can only record one other channel, the second channel does record, but the picture is pixelated and the sound is intermittent.

I reported this fault to VM about 5 to 6 weeks ago, was advised several times through-out that period that the fault would be fixed, but as of today the fault still exists. VM has also advised me that the fault is only being experienced in the east of Scotland, but I was wondering if anyone in other parts of the UK was experiencing this fault?

Cheers

I'd contact them again get them to put you through to retentions, tell them you will cancel if it doesnt get fixed in 5 working days.

Re: V+ Record issue

Hi,

Thanks for your response.

Just spoken with someone in the faults team today who advised me that this fault, he described it as intermittent is UK wide affecting all V+ boxes. He also said that there would be an update (is this another software drop) mid-April which would 'hopefully' fix this problem.

I described to him what I said in my post above, and confirmed that everytime I do this, I get a second recording which is unwatchable. Anyway, curious to see if this update fixes the problem?

Re: V+ Record issue

Hello again,

Just been chatting with one of the Virgin Tech Support folks on virginmedia.support.tv, who identified that there is actually a problem with my V+; one of the record tuners is defective. Tech visit planned on Monday morning...! Really pleased that he was able to identify the fault so quickly, but a little puzzled that VM Customer Services thought there was a fault with all the V+ boxes and not mine

However, a happy ending none the less..!
