V+ installation questions
Getting V+ installed on Saturday am (hopefully)
Does the installer leave everything in a working state or is it normal to say "it will all be working in a few hours"? This is what was said to me during a recent box swap due to a fault.
Does the installer provide the HDMI lead at install time, or he likely to try and use the current RGB lead?
Anything else to look out for?
Thanks in advance.

Re: V+ installation questions
He will probably say "It will be working in less than an hour" and then go, but mine did.
He brought me and fitted an HDMI lead, but to be sure ring up and ask for one.
Came a quarter of an hour earlier than the beginning of the time slot and did a good, fast, efficient job.

Re: V+ installation questions
That's what happened to me, and it was largely working within a hour with the exception of a few missing channels as i'd been put on the wrong subscription package that a call to customer services rectified.
Saying that the engineer did give me a full demo of the box, with the exception of the channels that were missing...

Re: V+ installation questions
I had V+ installed a few weeks ago, HDMI lead was included, I also received another HDMI lead by post a week or so later
The system was up and running and we were given 10 minutes instruction by the installer before he left.
The V+ box is excellent, very easy to use and the TV picture quality is amazing now.

Re: V+ installation questions
Sounds good - it just VM CS are out of action with many things due to an upgrade - so if anything isn't working I don't know if they can fix it.

Re: V+ installation questions
There had the HDMI lead - set it all up and said it will be ready within the hour.
3 hours later and VM CS are unable to get the card paired!

Re: V+ installation questions
Mine was working fine when the engineer installed it as he showed me how to use it. He left a HDMI lead even though we don't have an HD TV
Then they managed to swap the V+ subscription to my regular STB, that took a number of calls to CS to fix!

Re: V+ installation questions
A few calls later and all in working OK now.
At one point I was told I was not allowed to upgrade from "L and V+" to "XL (inc. V+)" - so called back and they did that OK.
